Students from Luke's Primary School in Lalor found themselves somewhat camouflaged in a sea of red collection bags following their Closet Cleanout fundraising drive in August.
Their total collection weighed in at almost 300 kg's and the committee was thrilled with just how easy it was to coordinate. This is what Aneta had to say:
"The Closet Cleanout is a fantastic way to raise funds for our school. Unlike traditional fundraisers it doesn't cost our families anything. We simply send the supplied bags home, families fill them with unwanted goods and return them to school. The Closet Cleanout team collect and weigh the bags fuss free and deposit the funds to us. It is the easiest way to raise funds, and we are reducing a significant amount of waste going to landfill!"
Great job St Luke's!
